Temporary Dentures

Temporary dentures are made to replace damaged teeth immediately after they have been extracted, allowing patients to continue with a full set of teeth, even during the healing period.
Depending on the number of the teeth which need to be replaced, it may require four or five dental visits before the teeth are extracted.
The gum tissue will shrink during the healing period, meaning the temporary set will need to be replaced by a permanent fitting. This normally takes around six or seven weeks, allowing enough time for the dentist to create a permanent denture.
Shot-term dentures can provide a range of benefits for wearers who are worried about their appearance following tooth removal. Temporary dentures can be worn for two to three months, giving you time to restore function and acts as an aesthetic alternative to loosing teeth.
In addition to protecting the healing gum tissue, the support provided by the temporary dentures prevents changes in the shape of the mouth’s soft tissues caused by a loss of teeth.
